Last April 6th was World Physical Activity Day and for that reason we celebrated "Healthy Week" with a whole host of activities. In fact, we changed a little the usual schedule of activities to spend a few hours a week walking in various natural environments of Girona and surroundings.
A total of 120 participating users of occupational centers, homes and residences, were able to enjoy the scheduled routes, routes that presented small challenges and where cooperation with the group helped to break the comfort zone, having to overcome and break one's own physical and psychological barriers.
To carry out the activity, we made a call looking for people who would like to participate as volunteers in the accompaniment during the marches and who would enjoy nature and sports with us. The response was very well received and we will soon present some of these volunteers who will tell us about their experience at the foundation.
In short, healthy routes help us emphasize the importance of physical activity for people and the fight against sedentary lifestyles.
