On Tuesday 8th of May the prize-giving ceremony of the "Drawing Girona" drawing contest organized by the "La Caixa" Social Welfare Project was organized as part of the collaboration with the Ramon Noguera Foundation during the Girona floral exhibition Temps de Flors .
As a novelty this year, "La Caixa" Community Projects organized this drawing contest among users of the Ramón Noguera Foundation's occupational centers with the aim of selecting two illustrations and printing them in cotton bags which will be given among the clients of the offices of Caixabank de Girona during the days that takes place the most international exhibition of the city.
More than eighty people with intellectual disabilities using the two occupational centers that the social entity has located in Girona and Llagostera have participated in the competition. The drawings are inspired by emblematic places in the city, such as the houses of the Onyar, the Cathedral or the Pedra Bridge, and in the eighties five finalists have been selected, two of them awarded with the stamping of their drawing to the aforementioned bags.
The awards ceremony was given by Gemma Batlle, Director of Banca d'Institucions de CaixaBank in Girona; Josep Maria González, director of Business Area of CaixaBank in Girona, and Pepita Perich, managing director of the Ramon Noguera Foundation, and was carried out in the CaixaBank office at Carrer de la Creu, in a ceremony where also The families of the participants were attended.
The novelty of this contest is added to the already habitual collaboration between the two organizations to design the decoration of one of the highlights of the Time de Flors exhibition, the CaixaFòrum, for which the Ramon Noguera Foundation produces material Artisan and floral inspiration, this year in line with the exhibition of Flemish and Dutch paintings from the 16th and 17th centuries, which temporarily accommodates this space.
