On Saturday March 26 was held the fourth edition of MIC Integra, a tournament for players with intellectual disabilities with the support of Obra Social "la Caixa".
The tournament was made up of 16 teams from all over Catalonia, including representation of FC Barcelona and RCD Espanyol. The qualifying session was held in Vidreres and final and the closing ceremony was held in Palamos.
Juanjo Rovira, director of MIC, explained that "we have never wanted the MIC is just a football tournament, do different things and so we created four years ago MIC Integra, so that people with disabilities can enjoy a day of football".
The godfather of this edition was Bojan Krkic player who participated in the MIC and is currently player of Stoke City in the Premier League. Rovira said that "each year we seek a sponsor for special MIC integrates and Bojan is a great player."
Ramon Noguera Foundation participated in the MIC integrates with your football team adapted. We attended the opening, which took place in the field of Girona FC, and then took part playing three matches during the tournament Saturday morning. We won a game but it was not enough to classify us. On Saturday afternoon we attended to watch the final match between RCD Espanyol MIC and Figueres. We thank the presence of a volunteer "la Caixa", which accompanied us throughout the day.
