On June 30, the presentation of Season 22-23 of CF Base Llagostera took place at the Casino Theater in the municipality. This year, the teams, the coaches, the new shirt have been presented, and a lot of emphasis has been placed on two aspects that we want to promote; on the one hand, women's sport, and on the other, a new project linked to the Ramon Noguera Foundation: a mixed team made up of members of our organization who will start training from September, with the new season.
The technical director of the foundation's occupational therapy and homes service, Ester Triadó, attended and spoke in the parliaments, looking at the evolution of the role of our organization over the years in Llagostera and highlighting the relevance of sport for inclusion.
From the Ramon Noguera Foundation we want to thank Josep Aliu and Rafel Villena, president and vice president of the Club Futbol Base Llagostera for thinking of us, and Eva Iruela, worker of the foundation and footballer, who put the seed of this project .
Our organization has a strong link with this municipality for many years. In fact, with the desire to bring services closer to people and the territory, in 2002 we opened a home-residence in Llagostera in flats provided by the City Council. The home is home to 10 people who are fully integrated into the village. Later, in 2012, we opened the Occupational Center on the first floor of the Can Roig Cultural Center, with a total of 30 places, of which 23 are currently occupied. Having a center in the same town has meant a considerable improvement in the quality of life of people, who are still linked to their environment and we avoid daily trips to Girona.
And now, after a pandemic that has affected us all, it is a joy to start a new project and be able to be part of the Club Futbol Base Llagostera, a club whose motto is "Train players and better people" and that their values are respect, effort, hard work and humiliation. In this sense, it could not fit better with the values of our entity.
Sport, in addition to the well-known physical and psychological benefits, is an essential tool for social inclusion: everyone can play sports, everyone can play football. We enjoyed this fantastic sport and many successes for the 22-23 season.
