The show aims to be a reflection on the treatment we are giving as a society to people with functional diversity . The assimilation of the jurisdiction of their bodies, overprotection as an excuse for the snatching of their freedom of decision.

It is a project that has been working since 2019 and finally the time has come to see the fruits of all the work that the whole team of "Mare de Sucre" has done. It should be borne in mind that the creation process has been adapted to the specific needs of each of the actors and actresses. Intensive trials were conducted in October and January. And also now, a month before the play, the team has been rehearsing directly at the TNC.

Despite the difficulties we have had with COVID and some moments of uncertainty experienced, the project has finally been able to go ahead. As a foundation we are very happy and grateful that Escenarios Especiales has had Andrea, Judith and Mercè live this experience and make them visible.

About Special Scenarios

Escenarios Especiales is a project that makes theater with people at risk of social exclusion. We want the stage to reflect the diversity that exists in our society. Special Stage actors and actresses are people with a disability, mental illness, autism spectrum disorder, adults who are overcoming drug addiction, and children with neuromotor deficiencies.

Andrea, Judith and Mercè have been doing theater with Escenaris Especiales for a few years now, an activity included in the Ramon Noguera Foundation's Leisure and Sport Program.
