For Sant Jordi, as well as roses, we will also sell books for the first time

One more year, for the Day of Saint George, we will sell handmade roses and, this year, for the first time, also books. The boys and girls of the occupational centers will be in charge of selling the more than 2,500 roses that we have produced artisan since the beginning of the year. As usual, they will stop at the Catalonia squares of Girona and Llagostera.

The books that we will sell for the first time at the stalls are part of the Rebooks project, an initiative promoted last February by the Èxit Group, formed by the company of insertion of Càritas (Ecosol), the Drissa Foundation and the The Ramon Noguera Foundation, with the aim of offering new ways of labor insertion to vulnerable people through the collection, recycling and sale of second-hand books.

The books will go on sale at very affordable prices: one will cost three euros; Two will be sold at the price of five euros and anyone who wants can get five books at home for only ten euros. Apart from the stops that we will have in Plaça Catalunya de Girona and Llagostera, the books can also be purchased at the Tasting Tasting Workshop, next to the Mas Xirgu Car Wash.

As for the roses, we put on sale two models (big and small) in red with a white wrap and a ribbon with the flag. The flowers are made of cardboard-stone, durable over time and hand-painted with dedication and care for people with intellectual disabilities who use the occupational centers of the entity.

The larger roses, 40 cm, will be available at a price of 6 euros, while the small ones, between 15 and 20 cm, will cost 3 euros. The flowers may also be purchased at the Mas Xirgu Foundation's store and in the La Rosaleda Garden Tasting Garden , in the Devesa de Girona, two projects for the employment of people with disabilities at the Ramon Noguera Foundation.
