On March 3, the tracks of the stadium Josep Pla and Arbonès disputed the championship of athletics for people with special needs, organized by the Federation ACELL-SPECIAL OLYMPICS. Almost 290 participants from ten organizations participated in the meeting of the Federation ACELL territorial Girona, in a sunny day and a great time for sports.
The participating schools were: Ramon Noguera Foundation (represented by members of the residences and Fontajau Sarria), the beech, the Vilar, Tramuntana, MAP, CPNS Montserrat, Our Lady of Mount, and ALTEMIR Montseny-Guilleries.
The participants performed various tests of walking speed and shot put during the day. The tests adapted athletics we have a large participation. Then they ended the day having lunch together near the sports center.
The awards ceremony was attended by Juli Fernández (Mayor of Palafrugell) Salgas Carles (Deputy Sports Cooperation Girona Provincial Council) and Josep Pujols (regional representative of the Government of the sport).
