The third day of mixed adapted rugby between the Ramon Noguera Foundation and the GEIEG took place this past Saturday, May 21st.
The rugby and adapted sports sections of the GEiEG (Grup Excursionista i Esportiu Gironí) and the Ramon Noguera Foundation have participated in the third and, for now, last day of this year of mixed ability rugby, within the framework of an agreement between the two organizations that aim to improve the inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities through sports activities.
Mixed ability rugby - or adapted rugby - is an inclusive sport in which people with and without disabilities participate and play together. This time, with the arrival of good weather, the day took place on the beach of Rastell de Roses, where we were accompanied by unbeatable weather and a completely summery landscape.
Athletes are very excited about this new activity, and are expected to be able to create a team from the start of the season in September.
