At the Ramon Noguera Foundation we are constantly looking for new ways to combine training, job placement and social values. This year, a group of students from the Orientation and Employment Service, who participate in the Support Program for Placement, are involved in an innovative project based on the development of basic skills through the creation of an ecological garden.
Comprehensive learning through sustainable agriculture
The program, which encompasses the learning of basic knowledge in subjects such as functional literacy, mathematical skills and social and natural sciences, offers this year the opportunity to work on all these areas through a sustainable agriculture project.
In this way, participants train their literacy skills by researching horticulture and sustainability and develop mathematical skills by making calculations in relation to growing spaces. They also learn about the dynamics of the natural environment through participant observation and reflect on social procedures through ecology.
Thus, this dynamic methodology that combines theory and practice helps young people strengthen their professional profile and develop the social and emotional skills necessary for future insertion into the labor market; while promoting teamwork and autonomy, qualities highly valued by companies.
With this proposal, not only is learning encouraged, but a platform for practical training and personal empowerment is also created, a powerful tool for building a better future for these people. In addition, we believe it is important to continue promoting values such as sustainability and respect for the environment, contributing to the creation of a greener and more conscious community.
Looking to the future
At the Ramon Noguera Foundation we will continue to promote projects and initiatives of collaboration and innovation to offer more opportunities for everyone.
