At Aliments Onyar, each product we offer brings with it the effort and dedication of a great team. Today we want to introduce you to one of the key people behind the quality of our products: Mireia Fraixinó, our quality and R&D technician.
How did you get to the Foundation?
I was looking for a job as a quality technician and R&D and it was clear that I wanted to work in a food company that had a social purpose. When I saw the offer I loved it!
You are the quality and R&D technician... but what do you do in your day-to-day life?
A quality technician oversees the execution and training of good handling practices, record keeping, hazard analysis and critical control points, non-conformance management... and we test to develop new products or improve the existing ones Here I am also dedicated to accompanying, listening and encouraging people.
What has been the most important milestone you have reached in quality management?
Well, we managed to obtain the ISO 22000 Certificate in the community kitchen.
What do you like most about your job?
Transversality, contact with people and participating in the improvement, safety and innovation of the different products.
I'm sure you have some very funny anecdotes...
Oh yes! A new guy was starting at the workshop and I was told that he looked a lot like Pere, that he was on holiday, and that he had worked here some time ago. Perfect, I thought. When I went to look for him, I saw a boy already equipped and with glasses, so similar to Peter that I doubted whether it was him or not. And I said to him:
Mireia: Hi Joan, how are you? I'm Mireia, quality.
He: I know, why are you telling me this?
Mireia: Oh, you know? Damn, perfect! The first day and you already know us all!
Him: The first day? But I have been working here for 4 months! I'm Peter, don't you know me?
I wanted to melt! (laughs).
Any fact that you are particularly proud of?
I love the trust, the connection and the good atmosphere we have built with all the people who make up the different teams.
What is your favorite Alimentos Onyar product?
The wheat and spelled bases are delicious!! And the 4 cheese pizza!!
