Andrea Poveda
"I'm Andrea nursing student at the University of Girona. The fact began as a volunteer at the Foundation Ramon Noguera was a decision that I took nothing decided. I have always been an observant person and I wanted to know the peculiarities of the people, its most prominent feature. I think we are all special in our own way and, therefore, this activity I had the opportunity to see this world more detail.
Among the activities that I proposed when I hear the word swim I did not even think. Water for me has always been a way to distract and take all those things that cause me anguish.
From the first week I started my experience was as a progressive way. I admit that the first day was a little worried: like everyone else when you start something new, do not know how to react if I ... Feelings that disappeared the first time I was with them. I applied and I got questions who was the first lasted five minutes. After that I was treated like a famous always with smiles, kisses, things that trigger very moral people.
Go swimming every week became a necessary activity to my day. Next week could go there as it was something I was missing, so I have always felt that time I used to volunteer, it was time to earn my living.
Not only have they had to swim, but I left them one Saturday excursion. In these activities we were together all day, great stories that make you learn a lot from each of them. In addition, I must say that if this experience has followed a progressive and positive way thanks to the ease with which many people have given me. It is appreciated that you receive all the support.
Finally, as a nursing student I am, I can say that this stage has made me learn how to treat people, and know how to laugh, to see the positive things in life, essential for a nurse promote the health of people. "
