The VIII Night of the Catalan Gourmet, which was held yesterday at Mas Marroch in Vilablareix, served, once again, to publicize the most innovative products of the members of the Cluster, as well as to present new brands that have joined the project during the last year, in addition to rewarding the most disruptive initiatives. Organized by the Catalonia Food Retail Cluster, the event, which gathered around three hundred attendees and was attended by the directors of Business, Roger Torrent, and Climate Action, David Mascort, reaffirmed a stronger and more innovative sector.
Thus, during the celebration, the various prizes were handed out, in recognition of companies, entities and personalities who have excelled in the development and dissemination of all work in the gourmet food field. The awardees were: Mallart Xarcuters Artesans (Award for business growth through innovation), La Granja (Award for business growth through internationalization), Carolina Honest (Award for Shared Value) and Can Garriga (Award for sustainable initiative).
The Gourmet Award of the year 2023 was also awarded, this edition posthumously to a person who revolutionized the world of nougat and made it a world-famous product: Mr. Àngel Velasco, father, who managed to turn the company Turrons Vicens into a benchmark.
