The figures for participation are similar to those of the fall of 2017
Girona has given a positive response, one more edition, to the social project of Shopp Out, organized by the Ramon Noguera Foundation biannually, in spring and autumn. In this new edition, the figures for participation have been similar to those of the last Shopp Out of autumn despite bad weather. The manager of the Foundation, Pepita Perich, valued very positively this last edition and thanked the collaboration of all the fashion firms and of all the visitors who attended, hoping that "Girona dangles many more years with the Social Foundation shopping project of the Foundation ", which" allows us to continue to carry out the projects of the entity ".
In this new edition, visitors have been able to wander through the more than 4,000m2 exhibitors, where for the first time they have been able to find 40 fashion brands, footwear and accessories that have offered discounts of up to 70%. Among these brands, 10 of them have brought their products to the social shopping of Girona for the first time, which after 11 editions is already a totally consolidated event in the city of Girona. With this new spring event, the organizers have taken the opportunity to reorder the exhibitors' space, in order to achieve more space. It has also been the first time that a social entity like the Molí d'en Puigvert Foundation, which manages fashion stores, has had a booth at Shopp Out. Mireia Vidal, the young fashion designer of Girona with a show room in Barcelona and Girona, has been the sponsor of this spring edition.
The main objective of this initiative is to disseminate and support the work that they carry out from the Foundation, making visible the collective of people with intellectual disabilities. To achieve this, 5% of Shopp Out's sales are allocated to social projects that predict the improvement of the living conditions of these people.
After more than 11 editions, the event has become a must-have when finding products with great discounts. At the same time, the organization has also promoted an offer beyond purchases dedicated to leisure and family fun with concerts, workshops and children's shows. This spring edition 10 food trucks have been installed on the Shopp Out site to offer different types of cuisine, among which there was Can Sibarita, who recently won the Spanish championship of food trucks held in Avilés.
