With this project, the children who participate - five children with severe disabilities - can receive individualized and specialized therapeutic care daily, for 11 months, in an environment adapted to their needs, including in an ordinary space. This classroom is fully adapted to the special needs of these children and, in addition, it has toys and playful materials that allow them to enjoy their abilities to the maximum in order to improve their physical, emotional and autonomy
We also want to emphasize that the space combines the high special educational needs with an open environment shared with other students of the ordinary nursery school in an optimal way, which makes it easier to enhance the children's communication skills.
This pilot project promoted and managed by the Ramon Noguera Foundation has the support of Dipsalut (Autonomous Body of the Provincial Government of Girona) and the Department of Work, Social Affairs and Families of the Generalitat de Catalunya, which provide funding to the project and help, together with the Foundation itself, to make care for these children possible.
