From May 15 to 18, the Ramon Noguera Foundation was present at the EASPD Annual Conference "Investing in Social Services, Investing in People", with the participation of Montse Aulinas, a technique of RDI of the Group.
During these days, different sectoral workshops took place, as well as the meetings of the EASPD working groups, on May 15), and the celebration of the General Assembly, on May 18.
The conference, which was held on May 16 and 17, brought together service providers, support services, service beneficiaries, representatives of the European Commission, public and private public and private authorities. The main objective was to explore the main financing models that are being developed in Europe to help the sector meet its significant and growing investment needs. The plenary sessions were dedicated to the different models of financing, and the experiences in different countries:
1. Contracts reserved (agreement);
2. Personal (or personalized) budget
3. Public procurement
4. Private financing
The discussions that took place in Bucharest will be the basis of a report written by the EASPD on the financing of support services. In any case, the general conclusion is that the financing itself is not everything, the right models are needed and that they have a positive impact on the quality of the services, regardless of the financing model (s), they must allow active participation of users and focus on them.
