As we have explained in other times, the inclusive specialized classroom is a pilot project aimed at children with high disabilities in the Girona region, which is carried out in the municipality of Salt thanks to the transfer of a space within the School El Carrilet cradle, by the municipality.
With this project, the children participating - five children with high disabilities - can receive daily, and 11 months, personalized and specialized therapeutic care in an environment adapted to their needs, including in an ordinary space. In fact, in September 2019, the third year of this project began.
This classroom is fully adapted to the special needs of these children and also has toys and playful materials that allow them to fully enjoy their action capacities in order to improve physical, emotional and physical development. autonomy.
We also want to emphasize that the space combines the high special educational needs with an open and shared environment with other regular nursery students in an optimum way, which facilitates the communicative abilities of children.
This pilot project promoted and managed by the Ramon Noguera Foundation has the support of Dipsalut (Autonomous Agency of the Diputación de Girona) and the Department of Labor, Social Affairs and Families of the Generalitat de Catalunya, who provide funding to the project and help, together with the Foundation itself, to make care possible for these children.
