The Mas Xirgu Private Foundation offers people with intellectual disabilities who are in a situation of job demand or in search of a job improvement comprehensive services of guidance, accompaniment and support for the insertion (SIOAS), is it is a program subsidized by the Department of Business and Work, and subject to co-financing by the European Social Fund.
The Foundation, with this program, aims to make available to the participants a series of resources that will put them in a better position when looking for work. These are actions that favor decision-making and the way to deal with changes that refer to the profession, training or working life project.
This year a total of 30 people (9 women and 21 men) benefit from the program. 1005 of the women are over 30 years old. Of the men: 76% are under 30 years old and 24% over 30 years old.
The first insertion results of this program are that 11 participants have already been able to start an employment contract with a protected environment or ordinary company.
