Yesterday, Thursday 11 February, we organized the first talk aimed at families of users of the Ramon Noguera Foundation as part of the 2021 Family Plan, which took place in a webinar format. It has been the first activity aimed at families that we have carried out online, as the pandemic situation does not allow face-to-face meetings of this type. Specifically, we convened the families and / or guardians of the users of the residential services (homes and residences) and the day care services (occupational therapy and specialized care).
Under the title “What does it mean to have been vaccinated?”, Dr. Moisès Costa, doctor of the team of the Ramon Noguera Foundation, explained and informed the families of the implications of vaccination, after all users and all staff of residential services (homes and residences) have been vaccinated with the 2nd . dose this past week. Following the information session, we took the opportunity to answer and clarify all the doubts and questions that the families asked. It was a very didactic and active session with the virtual presence of 20 families, a success that places us to continue with activities in this format. We will soon make the video of the talk available to families for all those who were unable to attend.
The Family Plan is a program aimed at the families of users of our services for people with intellectual disabilities that aims to improve the quality of life of parents and guardians by providing the necessary support both at the level individual as a group level, through training and information activities.
