At the Foundation we work to improve the quality of life of people with intellectual disabilities and their families. With almost six decades of history, we develop our work with the aim of promoting the autonomy, well-being and social inclusion of each person.
We do this through all stages of life, from childhood to old age, taking into consideration the life goals of each individual, focusing on their needs but also on their interests and desires. These are our services to people:
The early care service
The professionals at our Child Development and Early Care Centers (CDIAP) , located in Girona and Salt, are specialized in the detection and treatment of disorders or possible disorders in the child development of children between 0 and 6 years of age. These centers offer the following services:
· Neuropediatrics
· Psychopedagogy
· Social Work
· Physiotherapy
· Speech therapy
· Counseling and family guidance
For 6 years we have had a specialized attention classroom at El Carrilet de Salt nursery school, an inclusive service aimed at children with multiple disabilities in which they can receive, from Monday to Friday, individualized attention in a completely adapted to your special needs.
The Occupational Therapy Service (STO)
Spaces designed to create opportunities and enhance the capacities of adults with intellectual disabilities with the aim of developing their skills, enhancing their autonomy and promoting their social and work inclusion. We have two centres, one in Girona and the other in Llagostera, where we currently serve approximately 126 people.
The specialized care service
Designed to provide continuous support to adults who need extensive and generalized support for activities of daily living.
This service is based on a personalized model in which we focus on identifying not only the difficulties they may have, but also their abilities and interests, with the aim of promoting their overall well-being.
The housing service: residences and homes-residence
Our housing service is designed to offer solutions suitable to people's needs, creating living environments where their wishes, interests and personal rhythms are respected.
From the service we promote maximum autonomy and inclusion with housing options adapted to the needs of each individual:
· Residences: safe and welcoming living spaces, with specialized staff who accompany people in their daily tasks.
· Homes-residences: this model allows people to share a home with others but with the support they need to guarantee their well-being. Residence homes promote coexistence and social relationships.
The service to support autonomy in one's own home
An initiative designed for adults who live in their own home, alone or accompanied, but who are offered moderate support to manage daily activities and ensure their full integration into the community.
Leisure and sports program
Leisure and sport are essential components for people's well-being. This program not only seeks physical development, but also emotional and social development, creating opportunities for people to socialize, acquire new skills and enjoy moments of fun.
Guidance and Employment Service
Work is a fundamental part of personal development and social inclusion. At the Ramon Noguera Foundation, we offer an Orientation and Employment Service that accompanies people on their way to the labor market.
We do this by attending to the individuality and characteristics of each person, carrying out personalized support actions to obtain and maintain a job, either in ordinary companies or through our Special Employment Center.
And also...
Collaboration with companies and the community
In addition, we work together with local businesses and entities to expand our impact through specialized professional services and volunteer programs.
We network with families, businesses and the community to offer comprehensive support that allows each person to reach their full potential.
