The Catalan Federation of Social Volunteers , together with the City Council of Girona, is launching the week of volunteering in Girona from 21 to 25 May. The aim of this day is to make visible the work carried out throughout the year by volunteering in Girona and to recognize this work that often goes unnoticed. At the same time, it is also intended to turn the city into a meeting point for all the entities of the Girona region to live a festive week in the city.
The activities offered by the Volunteer Week are very diverse and some have been designed especially for those dates, while others are part of the usual activity of the entities that offer them, and have moved on date to be able to fit them in this week.
Different activities such as film festivals, walks, open days or the awards ceremony of the 9th Stories Contest are some of the activities that will fill the city so that the world of associationism and volunteering live closely. All the acts will be open to the public and most of them free.

Monday, May 21 At 7:30 p.m.: 9th Contest of Volunteering Contest Awards (Llibreria Empúries - C / Alvarez de Castro, 6).
Tuesday, May 22 At 4:30 p.m. Open Day at the Red Cross with prior registration (C / Bonastruc de Porta, 13).
Wednesday, May 23 At 6 pm: "We speak of Donation of Organs (Cinema and Health)". The Girona Museum of Cinema hosts a movie theater forum where the 21 gram film will be screened, with a subsequent round table. The event is organized by AECC - Catalonia Against Cancer Girona. (c / de la Sèquia, 1).
At 10 am: Course "The Voluntary Plan for your organization", at the Ramón Noguera Foundation (c / Industria, 22 - Polígon mas Xirgu). The schedule will be from 10 am to 2 pm and from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Thursday, May 24 At 9 o'clock: Round trip from Fornells de la Selva (through the Pla de l'Onyar). Departure from the pharmacy Parc del Migdia at 9 o'clock. Route of 9.78km. Organized by the Gironina Association for Prevention and Assistance to Heart Diseases - GICOR-Ass-.

Friday, May 25 At 11:00 a .: Conference "The Art of Turning the Tortilla - Keys to turn your adversity into an opportunity." Organized by the MIFAS Association, at the Ter Civic Center of Girona (c / Can Sunyer, 46, 17007).
At 6pm: Entities and Companies walk together for Social Responsibility. Organized by the University Social Responsibility Department of the University of Girona, it will be a talk given by M. Rosa Terradellas and Helena Benito at the Restaurant La Rosaleda Tasting Garden (Paseo de la Devesa, 1).
