More than 50% of the students in the occupational courses of the Incorpora program have entered the world of work

Yesterday, December 2, the Cluster Èxit, a Girona association in the social economy sector, presented the diplomas for the training activities it promotes through the Incorpora program of the “la Caixa” Foundation.

During the presentation ceremony, starring the accredited people who took an active part in it, the main results of this latest edition were announced. This year, a total of 53 people have taken part in the program, 90% of whom have completed accredited training and 54% have been employed in one of the collaborating companies. Of the total number of students, 39 people have done internships.

The conference, which took place in the auditorium of Support-Girona, was attended by the Councilor for Social Rights of Girona City Council, Núria Pi, who highlighted the work carried out by the Cluster. Success, the commitment of the collaborating companies and, especially, the work of the students who received the diploma yesterday. The CEO of Metalquímia, Josep La-gares, then spoke on "Corporate Social Responsibility". Lagares spoke about creativity (creativity with method) as a key element for growth, both in the business and social spheres, and explained how he applies it to his company. Then, after a space for discussion, students from the courses gave way to the presentation of the Incorpora awards, with which the entities of The Success Cluster recognized the work of the participating companies. This year the companies Mola! Pasta shop, Retak Iberia, Costa Brava Mediterranean Foods, Emys Foundation and Gripark. The figure of the award is the work of the artist Pep Ametlla, who spoke by video conference. The sculptor expressed with a hands that embraced a heart "the act of generosity and commitment of the awarded companies."

The 'Incorpora Training Points' are a pioneering training initiative adapted to groups with special difficulties that allows qualified and qualified training for the improvement of employability and for the development of a work activity. The Training Points want to be a key piece that helps to consolidate people at risk of social exclusion and special difficulties (severe mental disorder and intellectual disability) in the workplace and ensure the profitability of the people inserted.

In the last year, three areas of training have been developed: course for cleaning surfaces and furniture in buildings and premises, taught by the Ramon Noguera Foundation; trade and warehouse course, by Fundació Drissa; and department store and warehouse repository course, by Astrid-21. According to the data provided by the entities, the students who have taken the courses have been men in 70% and women in 30%, with a degree of disability between 33% and 65% and ages between 17 and the 57 years.

According to the satisfaction survey carried out by the teaching staff on students, seven out of ten value the training action with the company very positively and consider that the internships have helped them to improve their personal development, regain confidence and find work.

During the event, once again, the need to generate more alliances with the business sector in order to continue working for the employment of people with special difficulties was highlighted. This year there have been eleven contracting companies.

The closing of the day was given by the president of El Clúster Èxit, Albert Carbonell.

The Cluster Success Association, more than 2,000 users

The Girona Success Cluster is a non-profit association, created in 2012 by seven entities in the field of the social economy, with the aim of strengthening the sector of employment of people with special difficulties in the territory of Gironès - Urban Area of Girona. The integrating entities are: Fundació Ramon Noguera, Fundació Tresc, Fundació Síndrome de Down Girona i Comarques, Astrid 21, Grup Mifas, Ecosol (Caritas insertion company) and Fundació Drissa.

As a whole, the Success Cluster maintains 15 services aimed at job placement, which include special employment centers, placement companies, comprehensive guidance services, support and support for the placement of people with disabilities or disorders. of mental health (SIOAS) and pre-employment services for the acquisition of skills. In total, it accommodates more than 2,000 people with special difficulties, who are cared for by more than a hundred support professionals. Its global activity generates revenues of more than 14 million euros, of which 71% comes from the business activity of the entities.
